Like air, earth, fire, and water, sound is an elemental component of our experienced reality (whether cognisant of it or not). Augmenting the qualia of our daily lives, sound often defines and redefines our understanding of the world around us, furthermore, shaping our unique semiotic and memory making procedures.

However it is often in the silence between the notes that we find the time to truly appreciate the impact of the sonic world around. If you listen closely you may feel expectation imagining an infinite future or the essence of an echo within dwelling on a potential past. Are these the whispers of dreams of the pulse of truth unique to our own individual lives?

‘Interspace I-VI’ is a series of glacial compositions based on ‘interstices’, the unifying concept bringing these ceramic artists together. My hope is that they may, be it consciously or subconsciously, illuminate a sense of calm while concurrently imparting new energy and ideas within your corporeal experience of what is otherwise a temporal ephemerality.
